AFL India played a pivotal role in introducing the sport to Jaipur, Rajasthan, with the initiation of the ‘Footy 1st’ training program in collaboration with the Magic Bus NGO. David actively participated in this training, marking the commencement of what would become an illustrious career.
The Rajasthan Eagles, under the guidance of AFL India, took a significant step in 2014 by participating in the National Championship held in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Dicosta David represented the state’s Under-16 junior team, contributing to the historic moment as it marked the first-ever National Championship appearance for the Rajasthan Eagles’ junior squad.
Building on this foundation, David continued to make history in 2017 during the India Vs Australia match in Medinipur, West Bengal. This groundbreaking event marked India’s first-ever international AFL match.
